Default Help with info on a Wade & Butcher.

Can any of you tell me anything about this blade based upon these markings? I LOVE this thing, but know nothing about it.

Because it doesn't have 'England' stamped on the tang, along with Sheffield, it was made prior to 1881 ........ or maybe it was 1889. There was a treaty signed requiring country of origin be stamped on cutlery, and other products in that year. Probably 1870-80s. Zak, Martin, Manah, or Science Guy could probably tell you more.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

IIRC, the treaty was signed in 1891. I believe it was done in Madrid.

Yes, this is likely late 1890s to early 1900s due to the presence of 'England'. The scales look like vulcanite from the picture.

That one is a superb shaver, the extra-hollow makes for a noisy shave LOL...I have one without the England stamp on it and it leaves the neck area very, very smooth.
