Boker Elite 6/8

I am looking at the Boker Elite 6/8 as my next straight razor, anyone have any expirence with this razor?

I have one. Its a great razor overall. I like the steel. It takes a really nice edge. My only complaint about it are the steel lined scales. It makes it a little heavy. And the lack of jimps combined with the weight and soapy/wet hands can make it a little awkward. But other than that it performs quite well and I'm pleased with it.

Thanks, I quite like razors slightly heavy so hopefully it will suit me.

I like the razor. I do not find it hard to balance and it takes a keen edge. It seems to me it is a quality build by Boker.

Yep a great razor. I have one and have been very happy with it. The hinge pin came a little loose....but I really like the appearance of the razor. Very clean and good looking razor!

I have 3 Bokers. Love them. An Elite is on my wish list.

Funny you ask about this razor. I like Bokers quite a bit and I got an Elite as a Christmas gift to myself. That being said I have a Dovo Bismark2 which has a similar blade design/grind. I found for myself I just really like the Dovo a lot better. Now normally if you ask Dovo or Boker Id say boker but in this case I just like the balance and feel & subsequently the shave of the Dovo a lot more. I am way more a buyer than a seller when it comes to razors but if you were seeking this a few weeks ago you could have gotten one for a very good deal (yes mine, I sold it). This was a rare case of me getting a straight I just did not see myself using.

Just the opposite. I have a Dovo Palisander, which is the same blade as a Bismark but without the bling and a Boker Elite. The Boker has (in my opinion) a better balance, keener blade, and superior all around build quality. Both are good; the Boker is the better.

I would love to have an Elite. I have some Boker's & they are quality blades! I have no complaints.
