Ralf Aust
I just picked up a RA from SRD to add to the mix for rotation. It is the basic model sold. I saw no reason to get something all frilled up even though nothing wrong with frills if it is quality. I just wanted something to add to the mix for shaving to go with my Dovo.
Anyone with feedback on RA brand? They seemed to be a decent German brand but lilttle feedback across the net from what I could see.
Anyways.............just wondered.

I am really fond of my Aust 5/8 round point. It's a sweet shavers.
Ralf Aust razors seem to be well regarded here on SRP.

Going on six months with my RA, new from SRD also. I really enjoy shaving with it. Nice quality too.

I got a "jazzed up" RA delivered last week. The hype is certainly justified. They are just wonderful shavers. No matter the form, I am sure the utmost attention goes to the part that matters most, the blade! Mine is 7/8 and a bit of a hatchet, but it is at the same time delicate and shaves marvelously.

Thanks folks! I found some review of them but not a whole lot like a Boker; Dovo; or B&H. But you guys say they are great little razors so I am sure they are. I got the 5/8 round which should be similar to my Dovo in shave characteristics.

They're great, I've got 2....a 5/8 like yours and a 6/8 stainless. Look here http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...azor-club.html if you want more info, or use the SRP search box in the upper right corner. It searches the whole site.
Aust is the real deal, turning out razors the way they should be done.

There is actually a razor club for them here http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...azor-club.html I think the general opinion is that they are good quality and a pleasure to shave with. I like mine.

I have the 7/8 American Point (Square with a muted tip and has anyone ever seen that called an "American Point" any place else?) in the basic scales.
Great razor, easy to maintain and I like the "Goldylocks Grind" - not to heavy, not to light.
-
Mine's been shaving me for over a year and had one honing at the beginning as I got it on a trade and had to make scales for it. The previous owner had it for a long time before we ever heard of them.
