Razor any good?
I have bought a straight for a very good price but it doesnt have any branding.
At first I thought it was a cheap one however it has bone scales (I tested them with a hot pin), so with it having bone scales does this point towards a better quality razor?

Without any markings, it's nearly impossible to say. Hone it and try it and see!

There were a lot of razors that were made with the intent of having other peoples marks on them. Chain stores, hardware stores, barber supply companies, the list goes on. Some of them got away without any markings. I have a couple of very good razors that fall into this group. One is simply marked Sheffield. It means you have have to try them to find out. Chances are it is a good blade, many are. One of the great things about them is they usually sell for peanuts.

It certainly looks to be a vintage blade, and unless they've been mistreated vintage blades are by and large good-excellent quality. That looks like it should hone and shave like a champ.
