Yes, Neil once described my work in this manner. At first, I did not know quite what to think of it.
After a bit, I understood! ;) I do tend to feel sorry for some of these little downtrodden items! :)

What I said I didn't mean it that way. I sometimes can't get the right words out. I deleted my post because I did NOT want to mislead anyone & I asked Magpie to do the same in a pm to him but it doesn't appear to be happening. I'm not crying pity party here either, I just thought some people were more understanding about things. We are here to help others out & be friends, not bash another! The guy really did a great job because it was the only thing at hand so my statement was taken wrong & I said it wrong. I left here for awhile because of a similar incident & I thought I have been somewhat helpful here in my contributions here. If you people who I consider a great bunch of guys don't see me back, you'll know why! Sorry everyone that the words said were not exactly the right ones. That's all I have to say.
I wouldn't worry about it. We all have different opinions and to be able to express that opinon is really what it's about. It's kind of like when folks look at me and say he's had it rough when the truth is I've had a lot fun. The first photo of the razor did look rough but last looks better. at least to me. But then again that's my opinion and i'm like an old refrigerator can't keep nothing.
All is cool, Steve. No worries! Every one of us has our issues. We understand and can see what some mean, no matter how they say it. To tell the truth, we all had comments of how Roberto embraced it, scars, repairs, and all. That is what makes it special.
Quit worrying around here! It is in the rules! (somewhere!) :)
I would like to thank the OP for a really nice restoration...just cleaned, stabilized, and put back together.:chapeau
I call these hard time razors and try to find and get them operating with minimal new stuff.
Here is one, soft wood, Horse tack copper rivets and washers; James Codfer, VCrownR <1901

Saving the story the razor can tell is important!
Thank you again!

Guys please keep the thread to what the OP mean it to be.
]What a beautiful razor. What some might see as mistreated, I call "well loved" Over the years somebody took the time to repair, and repair repeatedly. Likely as not across more than a single generation. They made due with what was at hand, and were happy enough to continue using it. Just like Roberto has done! Great Job at keeping the love alive!
All due respect, what I said did not come out as I wanted it to. I never meant it that way & Roberto knows this because I wrote him & explained it. He has no problem with it. I do not see it as mistreated! Roberto is a great guy and has fantastic workmanship. I have apologized to Roberto & everyone else on here for my incorrect wording so I see no more reason to keep talking about it. I'm done with it. Magpie, I respect you as a friend & I always will. We all make mistakes & no one is perfect.
God bless everyone & keep the talent alive!
