Nothing wrong with Amazon if you get a truly great deal! But rest assured that razor more than likely will not be finalized for shaving. Just send to a reputable honer and when it comes back, you will be impressed! In fact, that will be the bar for you to set what a truly shave ready razor should feel like.
For a razor to 'tug' there are 2 variables.
1. The edge is not properly sharp which can be corrected by competent honing.
2. Technique is lacking. Be it stropping, lathering, shaving angle etc... That is about practice & experience.
Only #2 is in the hands of a new user.

Really it is a matter of preference, once properly honed all razors shave well, as said technique improves the shave.

Another good way to find local help is to post in the Honing forum and ask if there is anyone in your area. Be specific about your city, state.
