Dunno, never used one but they sure have a fancy expensive sounding name. Mind you, for the price what have you got to loose? If you don't like it just pitch it.

After I made this post I found an old Gillette A1 going for cheaper than the Scotch & Stowe so I started watching that.
If you are looking for a vintage Gillette DE then local yard sales might be worth checking.

if you do go with one of the S&S branded razors, I'd get one with a knurled handle. Those smooth ones look a bit too slippery, especially if your hands are wet/soapy.
But I would do a Vintage Gillette for the same or less than you'd pay for that unknown new maker.
I actually just got a 1951-1960 Gillette red tip for $27 off eBay today, don't know the exact year yet but I will when it gets here. So I'm holding off on the off on the Scotch & Stowe. And the next DE is going be a Merkur Futur, so I don't use my inherited 1958 Gillette D-3 executive too much.
