i just bought another razor in an antique shop and was trying to find some information on it. it has engraved "shumate razor co. st. louis" on one side and "shumate's dollar" on the other. iam having a hard time finding information on the company or production dates. any help?
Tons of info on here about Shumates. Let's see a pic of it, might help in dating.

Shumate Razor Co, St. Louis, 1904-1920
Shumate Cutlery Corp, 1920-1932
They were first founded around 1884 in Austin, TX by a man known as Albert Teagarden & in 1895 became partners with Joseph Shumate which then became Teagarden & Shumate, dealing in cutlery until 1900 when they became Shumate Razor Company. Then in 1904 Shumate moved the firm to St. Louis. In 1919 Fred S. & A.E. Roth partnered with Shumate & in 1927 they were selling pocket knives with markings such as Shumate, Roth, Aristocrat, Waldemar & Stainless Cutlery Co.

I got this information from my Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings which I was told by Martin103 that is has errors in it so the info may not be 100% correct.
The sharpest razor I ever had was a Shumate Ben Hur.
