Guys, if you were around 6 or 7 years ago you would have heard of the 'Chronik', and that they were 'the best' and were rare. I don't know how many of them are out there, and there were some gainsayers around as far as how good they were.
Here is the only one I've ever seen outside of pix on shaving forums years ago, and it is one of the best shavers I've ever experienced bar none.

Here is a razor that you don't see many of. The scales are 10K gold. It was made by EAM Co., which looks like it is part of Elgin, the watch company. Attachment 225784Attachment 225783
How bout this one....:p
Rare?

Na... I have a pair! :roflmao
It tests 10K. It really reminds me of a Cross pen (which are also 10K). I have never been able to find out much about it either!
I picked it up from an estate sale. I got this one at the same time. It has what appears to be a gold escutcheon and gold pinning, as well. These might be brass, as I haven't found a good way to test them. The guy also had a gorgeous pair of ivory scaled razors that were on the way out the door by the time I found them. Pretty happy with the ones I got, though!
No plating loss yet... It might be plated or clad. I didn't want to use the scratch stone too heavily.
Some makers are quite prolific, yet certain examples are quite rare, I think!
Such an example would be Geneva Cutlery. They made millions, but how many 9/8ths ones?
