Default Need date help please on a Joseph Rodgers!

I am in the process of restoring this blade, and can't find much information at all! Please correct me if I am wrong:
after 1895 because it says England
before 1930 because of the no 6 Norfolk address
however...I have never seen another The Master Razor anywhere!

    thanks for your help

    There one right here :http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...vapo-rust.html

The address 6 Norfolk Street has nothing to do with dating this razor as they moved there in 1760.

    Country of origins after 1891.

"Cutlers to their Majesties" may be a hint.

Normally used during the Reign of Victoria in that "their" was Victoria and the Prince Consort Albert.
This was in use (at her Majesties direction) after the Prince Consorts death in 1861.

The guess, subject to the update of the wiser ones, 1892 to very early 1900's.
"Their Majesties" was in use after the death of Victoria in January 1901.

And no matter what the date, that is a fine specimen and we hope you will share the finished work...

I have seen some similar. As has been said, around turn of century.
While not huge razors, they have a distinct grind which usually yields a tiny bevel and an excellent shave.

Tell you something that is just my suspicion. I once had a 7 day set of black scaled Joseph Rodgers with the same 'Made In England' in the arc sideways at the end of the normal stamping. Almost as if it was applied as an afterthought.

So my suspicion ........ guess ...... is that my 7 day set, and your blade, were made right at the time of the treaty requiring the country of origin stamping. They fit it where they had room to put it to conform to the new legalities. IMHO.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Good point, Jimmy! In fact, lots of old German razors have Germany stamped much the same way.

I guess the 'England' was an add-on as the regular old stamp was struck.
Would definitely seem to date it right after the change.

The razor was made between 1891 and 1901.
