Picked this up online. I put a $10 bid on it not expecting to win but guess what!

There are no other markings on the tang, no info from the seller. It looked decent to me. Any info or opinions appreciated.

I also have 3 more blades I just won including a #108 crossed keys F. herder, The Palmer and a T. Noonan & Sons.

Crossed keys is John Nowell & Sons. The silver steel could be any one.

When you get your hands on the F. Herder post some pics. Those are very nice razors, been trying to get my hands on one again. I had one a while back, didn't know what I had and when one of our soldiers was looking for a razor I sent it to him. Later I discovered they were very good quality.

Here a pic of the F. herder crossed keys razor. It also has the crossed keys logo on the back of the tang.

If it was made with Silver Steel, it could be quite old as it was in fashion back in the early to mid 1800s.... but some things make me think it's not. The tail should be shorter where it that old... and those quotation marks. The quotation marks bug me. Almost as if it were saying "weeeeelll... not REALLY..."

Sorry... I know I am not helping.

My thoughts as well. But I do appreciate the input. I didn't find much for silver steel on google.

As I said I put small bids on all 4 razors and won them all being the only bidder. Never expected to get one let alone all four.

Unfortunately there are no full size pics of the silver steel blade.

I know its against forum rules to ask values on razors. Is there a site or place that I can?
