I would send the photos of your razor to the vendor and explain what you think the problem is in an email.

Sorry you didn't like your shave:( On the up side, you got some of the most beautiful scales I have ever seen on a production razor!!
Your best bet is to contact SRD and see what they can do.
I have had my first straight and strop since Christmas. I have watched all of lynn's videos on stropping and shaving. I have been practicing everyday with the AoS straight with my strop. I have a Dovo Prima Rindleder strop.
I start by pulling the strop tight. Then I lay the spine of my straight on the strop. I then let the edge of the straight move towards the strop as I slide the blade away. I slide really smooth and controlled, never letting the blade lift off the strop. When I get to the end of my strop, I gently roll the blade on the spine to flip. Then I make my next stroke. I never press that hard, only letting the weight of the blade press on the strop. I never make fast motions, and the care that I take during stropping really makes me doubt that I rolled the edge.
Was just looking for suggestions if the edge of the blade in the top photo looks normal? I am new to this, but I did my research to make sure my technique is correct.
From what I can tell from your pictures the edge on the Aust is just fine.
Here is what you need to do. Contact SRD, either call them or email them, explain your thoughts and get pictures to them. If your issue is legit SRD will make it right, period.
Just like you we are not owners nor do we have any interest in SRD business wise. Many of us are customers. No one here can give you an answer other than what you have gotten already.
So in the spirit of not sitting by and watching this thread continue it will be closed to posting. Kindly let me or another moderator know when your issue has been resolved one way or the other with the vendor in question. Thank you and welcome to the forum.
