I would say 1820 - 1830. The blade has been reground. Several Hall families worked in Sheffield but I found nothing on L. Hall

I tried looking at manufacturers on your database here and found nothing on any Hall.

In old English the letter J is written as I. In that case there are 5 John Hall's listed in Tweedale's Directory. The stamp looks like an L. to me.Quote:

Indeed it was, well spotted. The crack was a lot deeper after cleaning, i have removed the heel, the scales are beyond saving so i made new ones for it using light horn (honey colour) See before & after pics. I will also attach a pic of the I.Hall razor that I purchased today soon, not tonight, tired after traveling.
