I've never joined a forum before, so please forgive any mistakes.
Recently whilst clearing out my folks loft I happened upon a couple of boxes of straight razors and thought this would be the best place to find out about them.
Some are made by Fisher No.1, No.62 & No.3 the others are made by Gotta No.120 and Ama No.100.
They all appear to be unused in their boxes and I would guess they are from around the 60's?

Hi Womble72 and welcome to SRP. Sounds like quite a catch. Fisher and Gotta are great razors, haven't heard of an AMA. If you intend to learn to shave with them you found the right place. Photos are always appreciated.

Nice score. A great bunch of razors, but you may not want to start with an heirloom razor. Get a nice inexpensive shave ready razor and use it to learn and make mistakes with. There are only so many heirloom razors and only one way to get them, so protect them. Once you have shaving and caring for the razors down pat get them honed and enjoy them. They are very good quality blades.

That is one HECK of a haul!!!! I'm pretty sure I'd give my first born to find that many heirlooms!

Weicome to SRP. I can't say about the Fishers, but the Gotta is a fine old Solingen brand, as all from that era were. They were mainly meant for pro barbers, so they had to maintain a high level of quality.
I'm sure you're curious about their value. As you may know, if you've read the rules, we don't do appraisals. If you do want to know what they are worth the best place to find out is doing a search on ebay for straight, or in the UK, 'cut throat' razors.
You can search by the particular name brand along with the above. If nothing comes up in active listings there is a menu on the left that shows completed listings. That is your best bet for real time market values rather than various opinions on what they 'might' be worth.
Alternatively, pick out a couple to shave with, go to our SRP beginner's guide in the library (toolbar above) and join the party .......... :gl:

You kinda now owe it to yourself to learn this great art seeing that these razors found you.

Welcome to the forum. I think you have had a knock out find of quality New Old Stock (NOS) razors land in your lap. With that many you could consider having one professionally honed if you are going to try shaving a straight razor. If you mess it up there are plenty more or go the find a nice used one to learn on. Congrats and enjoy your heirloom razors.

I’ve found another box of fishers, boxes of brushes (Benwells and Culmak), clippers (Tondeuse Ama), scissors (Fisher) combs and razor blades.
I appreciate that you don’t do valuations, but I really don’t think I need quite this much stuff! So, should I sell it as a bulk lot or individually? And where best to?
Also, Is there any way to date this stuff?

I have batshit and flying squirrel poop in my attic. I'm pretty sure all of it is NOS.

My folks have no connection with with gents outfitting, tailoring, barbering etc.
However, I did find out from Ma last weekend that, Pa was mates with a bloke from his national service (Lunneburg then Korea) who had a barbers shop in London.
So we guessed that's where they came from.
Unfortunately, I can't ask Pa, hence clearing the loft.
