Yes, but technically it is pre-patina.

As well as the drying others mentioned I always put a drop of razor oil onto the bade, Never know when I'll be using it again so better safe than sorry
I polished it. Managed to avoid dulling the edge. It's all shiny now! I did get some polish on the bevel and edge, but I didn't work it into these areas.
Most of it is gone now. Some lingered, but I polished it 4 times. You have to look super hard in just the right light to see what's left.
Should I be concerned with the remaining stain?
Did you polish it by hand?
I did. I used Mothers metal polish.
Could be the beginning of rust or hard water staining which if you rub your hand over it you cannot feel. I always after each shave dry off the razor and use toilet paper to run through the inside scales to thoroughly dry then re-strop then use a light coating of Ballistol.
I would suggest if it is water oxidation or staining to get Flitz which I find the best and rub on with a Q-tip then use a piece of toilet paper to rub off and it should take it off. In fact even though I meticulously dry and protect my razors I do get water staining time to time. I simply Flitz it then voila, like new! Plus Flitz will make water bead off the metal!
