    Default A Wild Find

Stopped at local antique store where I am well known and was browsing with a mental "if I find it list" and ran across a hand held food chopper similar to one my Mother used in a huge wooden bowl to chop up a variety of fish for Gefilte fish. I have the bowl but the chopper disappeared. Brought it home and after cleaning it up discovered it was a Lander Frary & Clark product. Ran to the razor wall and pulled out my Landers Frary and Clark 5/8 quarter hollow razor ( and a fine shaver to boot.) LF&C was a large housewares manufacturer (often used Universal as a mark.)

I then remembered a joke birthday gift my kids gave me several years ago of a Sheffield made scissor's, trade name Richards (my first name) and dug out my matching 4/8 hollow Richards razor.

How many other members have non razor items with matching razors?

I really want a Wade & Butcher Gouge for my lathe. There's been a few on ebay but they sell at expensive prices too.

LF&C was also a major supplier of military mess utensils.

Fine! I will just save some of the rest to keep the thread alive later!

    Those mess utensils are cool!
