Can anyone date this razor? Case bros

Recently found this case straight razor while helping my dad clean out his basement. He doesn't even know how or when he got it. It had a very rough condition wooden box that had "case" on it but was almost illegible from age. In the box was a small hone and the razor which was in its own small box but I couldn't read anything on that box either. Anyway the says "case bros. little valley ny" And on the other side it is stamped "tested xx". I have searched the forums and the info I have found points to it being from 1912 or earlier but I think that may be wrong because it just doesn't seem that old to me.. Handle material seems to be some sort of plastic and just the way the etchings on the blade look doesn't seem that old. It also says "Ring Leader" on the blade. Any info would be appreciated.

Sorry, can't help with the age of the razor but it sure looks to be in good condition and could be easy to clean up, hone and put back to use. Congrats on a nice find. Interesting grind to that blade too.

I am sure someone will be along shortly with a better idea od age.

Welcome to SRP. IIRC Case Bros Little Valley burned down in 1905, So they had a couple more factories, but moved out of LV. I can tell you that a knowledgeable Case Bros collector told me that the pivot pin always had a ferrules, and the wedge pin (at the bottom) didn't. So those scales are undoubtedly original. I've had a couple of the Bros razors and they are great shavers.

Yea it had a minor nick near the tip when I found it.. I honed it out and yes it is a nice shaver. Thanks jimmy for the info about the pins/scales I did not know that.

Indeed an early 1900's razor in nice condition. All original and all, here an early promotion from this time period for this specific razor, Enjoy!
