Report: One year of straight razor shaves

I have been SR shaving for one year, I just wanted to share my experience with everyone.

A. First off this is a hell of a lot of fun. Shaving has become a passion instead of a chore.

B. This Forum and it's generous members have helped me learn the ropes.

C. I've made some new friends.

D. I've learned to prep the face for a beautiful smooth shave.

E. I've learned art of blade angle, passes and stropping.

F. I'm shaving with blades I have honed myself.

G. I'm learning about restoring old razors, making scales and some interesting history
associated with cutlers.

H. This coming Christmas morning, my present will be a great shave and knowing
I'll be doing it again tomorrow.

glad to hear it Freddie, you know I think at times the shaves ive experienced and all the other stuff that comes along doesn't compare to the friends ive made while here. I have traveled to parts unknown and met some really great people, that is what I like most about this place, its good to have you , maybe one day I,ll be coming your way too! Tc
