The New Guys
So I just read a great review of the Portland Razor Co. "Gryphon" and it got me thinking... How many new company's are out there making great razors??
I have a super thick beard and prefer heavier blades. My first straight was a Dovo and it almost turned me off of straights completely. It wasn't until I bought an old Wade & Butcher wedge that I realized I'm in this for life. With the "Celebrated" blades going for a fortune I'm interested in the artisans out there keeping the craft alive.
So I'd love to hear from you all on your favorite razor's that are currently in production. I don't want to be out of the loop like I was on the Portland Razor Co.
Thanks!!

I own and have owned a current production Ralf Aust and a Thiers-Issard. Both are quality razors. I sold the TI to buy hones because it was a little too big for my tastes.

The only modern currently made razors I have are a Revisor and a Thiers-Issard. They shave as well as my other vintage razors which means well.

I have used Dovo, Boker, Aust, Revisor and Thiers. All were nice shavers and took great edges. When it comes to semi-custom or custom I like Koraat, Brian Brown and Joe Edson.
