I saw this razor and I agree with the fact that not saying anything is not right. For all we know in this day and age maybe this razor self identifies as a Masonic etched blade. either way it is not quality work and is a shame.
Nothing is fool proof, to a sufficiently talented fool...

Well I suppose if you get it at a great price you can remove the bad etching pretty easily. Though I agree it was a dishonest thing to do.
