Tally Ho help!
I always look for razors while at flea markets and such, and was surprised when I picked this straight up and saw the tang stamp. As a bonus, I took this home as basically an add-on for a knife that I bought:)
My skills at researching on the internet is not terrific but I am coming up with even less information that normal while trying to get details on this razor! I can't even find another blade with the same stamp, so can one of your fine people give me some info on this razor?? The information I am finding reagarding dates (mid 1800s) and such do not match the scale material and grind from my experience.
Please help:thinking:

Can't make out any stamps from the pictures. If its a Tally Ho there were a couple of different types. Fenny made one he died in 1825. After his death the brand kept going. Bingham made under the late fenny Tally Ho. And later IIRC just stamped Bingham Tally Ho. Some close up pic's or just tell us whats on the tang.

At one point George Wostenholm used the fox over a line over Tally-Ho logo.

No mention of Fenny or Bingham so I think we have to go down Bouschies trail. Good call Bouschie. A Wostenholm we need to hear from the big guns.

I see that name was purchased by Wostenholm in 1863, but can't find much else! I guess that they used it until the end??

Thanks for the info! I am going to re-scale it and get it ready to shave

If the scales are not cracked, soak in neetsfoot oil sand and polish.
