Yep! Saw one at the local antique store yesterday, couldn't believe it! Krieger is one of the straight razors on the 'Razors To Avoid' list here on SRP. I couldn't believe someone had the nerve to list one for $48.00.........

Must be the only one that actually shaves. Better grab it.
The big secret in the straight razor world is the amount of people out there preying on the new comers. Guys get excited about trying out straights and have NO knowledge what so ever on the subject.
The initial reaction is, "let me try this low cost straight to see if I like it". BOOM! there it goes, wasted money and a disappointed newbie.
I wonder how many guys never get to experience a REAL shave after those bad experiences. :banghead:
Hard to talk to anyone when all they say is "tried that, it wasn't good. I guess it's not for me".
Or more than likely most people wouldn't know a good razor from a bad one. That's why you will also find rusty or broken ones for ridiculous prices.
This was me years ago. But I really wanted to shave with a straight, spent some money did some reading and BAM!!!! The best shave ever and love the feel of it. I didn't find this place until much later. And with the great folks and info here, I upped my game immensely
Yeah, Sweeney Todd brought a lot of people to straight razors, but too many of them bought Sweeney Todd razors off of ebay and wondered why they didn't work right.
I know of three Kriegers in the $20-$40 range in a few antique stores, luckily they've been there for three years and people aren't buying them
Kriegar is on the list of razors to avoid, I do not know about Krieger razors.
