Welcome to the forum, Johnny. It looks good and legit. We see this mark from time to time. Sometimes there is an "S" on the end of Butcher, like you have there, sometimes with an apostrophe and it seems other times without. The s on the end might be helpful for dating, perhaps someone more knowledgable can comment on that. Let's see the whole razor!
Thank you and sure why not Attachment 279917
Really nice. You know it is older since it doesn't have the country of manufacture on it. Wish I could find a razor like that in a local antique shop.
If there is no cracking on the scales I would try filling the bug holes with epoxy. You can do a search to see how others have done it.
Fantastic! You've got a great one there :beer1:
You might think about adding it to... http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...cher-shop.html
Haha that's neat. If it doesn't come out too pricey I will do so, the piece is still in auction. Was curious about the genuity of the blade before seriously bidding. On a separate note, is there a reputable guy around here that does restorations? This razor doesn't need much work but I have a pre-Bingham Tally-ho I'd like to get spruced up. 'Tis legit. Lot's of different ways they marked the blades. Wade & Butcher, ....Butchers, ......Butcher's, Sheffield, sans Sheffield, etc
