Mine has "R. Cadmon & Sons Sheffield England " stamped on one side of the tang and "Bengall" on the opposite side. Cadman made them for ever. Perhaps yours is a copy or the stamp has been erased some how, the bengall stamp is mostly warn from mine only the top half of the B and gall is legible.
Hey Pea...check out the “Bengall” posts under the razor club section. There is a whole lot of info in there. There is significant meaning with razors having only Bengall with no stars and no “Carman” stamp on it used to figure out the date. I can’t remember but I can tell you my Bengall is the best shaver that I have.

I'm forming the view that the "TR Cadman & Sons" etc stampings on the reverse side might date only from the period after 1890 when exporters had to include the country of origin. I've not seen a Bengall that was convincingly older than this that had anything on the reverse. I'd really like to be proved wrong, but so far no takers. Also, there don't seem to be a lot of Bengall wedges around - I've got a hollow ground (not a regrind) from roughly the 1860s and this is a period when most English razors were wedge ground.
Stanko's razor is a beauty and looks pre 1890 to me (I've got 4 or 5 of these - you can't have too many ;) ). the original scales are hard to come by so hang on to those - a bit of judicious restoration/repair is really all they need - or, if they're stable, leave as is.
Had a Bengall wedge in bone with no other markings tapered blade much older looking than all my other Bengalls
No pics at the moment as I Gave it to my Brother
Hi Dion, I'll look forward to seeing a picture if you can manage it sometime.
Picture will help. Most of them Cadman's, but not all of them: I, for example, have one from Sweden.
Awesome blade Stanko! Can’t resist showing off mine. Attachment 281568
