Le Coultre frameback
Attachment 286226
I bought this a few weeks ago, sadly the scales where cracked on the other side and some chips and nics, and as the blade needed restoring I felt it worth while making some scales for it.

I decided to go with bone, I had to thin it down, I never measure how thick I just do it until it looks right, the wedge/spacer is titanium flanked with polycarbonate red plastic.
I have yet to hone this razor up, but will do this week, I have always wanted one of these so I cant wait to try it.

Love that style of frameback. Got a couple and they are the ones I grab first when I jump rotation. I very much like the scales you made for it. Classy and jazzy.:chapeau

Great looking restoration.
Let us know about the shave.

I shaved with it the other day, it shaved very well, for me not as good as my Williams Purist, or Hart Steel, but still a good shaver, not 100% sure if I will keep this just for that fact alone, as I am looking to thin the herd of razors I have in my rotation, never easy for me to part with pretty razor, I will give it a few more shaves first before I give it a final judgement, maybe even rehone it on the Charnley Forest and see how that pans out (it was finished on the SG20K)
