Thread: W greaves and Son Razor Information help

Hi,

I am trying to get more info on this razor and google is not really giving me much. I think it's a Masonic razor, but am not to sure. I just want to get a some what accurate ID and maybe someone can help with a value as I would like to sell it at some point. Thanks for any help provided.

Value is what you will pay or what you can sell it for. We dont do evaluations on this site. You could look on eBay for items like yours and what they sold for in the past.

I understand totally. It just that I am not sure I even know what the thing is. I can't find really anything like it other than one item. So I am mostly looking for a ID or something to go off of.

Do as Outback said. They have lots of good info on razors. I can tell ya ive seen a lot of these razors. Yours is looking a bit on the rough side. The stamp is not deep or at least it isnt any more. So its a nice razor, just needs restored and honed. Then you would have a great shaving razor. Buy a brush, soap and strop and your in the shaving game. BTW, two razors are better than one when learning to shave with a straight

It is indeed a masonic razor. Roughly 1800-1815 -- a pretty early one!
