That should read "molten lead", not "boiling lead". Boiling lead might be hot enough to melt the razor.

I stumbled onto this thread while doing a search for "Theirs-Issard". Even though it was dated last November, I hopped on over to lehmans.com and saw that the sale price was still available. Plus they had free shipping right now. I took one.
Since this place is a general "back to your roots" kind of store, selling a variety of merchandise, I am sure they do not do anything to the blade beyond what was done at the factory. I wonder if I should have it honed further by one of the professionals people around here recommend, to make it shave ready?
Probably wise to send the razor out for a quality honing. Glen of Gemstar Custom Razors comes highly recommended (see his thread in Vendors Corner section of Forum area).
I agree as mine needed some touch up when i got it. You could always give it a try when you receive it and see what you think.
also check it against a straight edge. recently got a TI that was twisted a bit!? also bevel on one side is wider than other....
I just ordered one of these TIs based on this thread. Thanks for the link. Also just snagged a nice W&B off EBay too. A good night indeed.
Story coming soon on my new Theirs Izzard razor under new thread.
As of today 2/17/19 the sale is still going on. Free shipping included as well. I have one coming my way.
