Oh ok, interestingly - what I'd initially feared, i.e. my finger slipping into the blade, was never even a thing that REMOTELY happened so far. (Watch, now that I've said it out loud tonight I'll have this happen to me!).

Yeah, what they all said. FR's are great shavers. Plus, one of my favorite razor profiles is about a 6/8" smiling shoulderless quarter hollow, which that seems close to. I find them easier to hone than full hollow blades with those pesky stabilizers, and nicer aesthetically, at least to my eyes.

Freddie, has always given me a great shave.
That last one really looks fantastic. I love the scales.
Thank you. I restored the blade, and made the scales for it, myself.
I also restored the one on the right, in the first pic.
Here's a before.

All work, done by hand.
And so it begins. The bids are going up, which means it may not be in my future. If I don't obtain it, I certainly hope it is someone from the forum here. Either way, I have learned quite a bit on what to look at when evaluating razors. For that I am grateful.
Reynolds are some of my faves, for sure.
I've got a whole collection of those humpback/rattler types that Outback posted. I'm going to turn them into a 7 day set one of these days.
