L’Espagnolette (The Espagnolette) French. Espagnolette means ‘window latch’ or ‘window catch‘ in French. Why they’d name a razor that is beyond me.

Agreed. The profile looks a lot like a Cattaraugus I have. That one is in better shape though.

Thanks. It has some pitting on the tang which I wasn't able to sand out though. Steve's is cleaner but I do think the mother of toilet seat scales on the Cattaraugus are pretty sweet though.
