Razor Boxes
Anyone else particular about razor boxes?
I personally feel like my razor is incomplete without having its historically accurate box. The box tells a big part of the razors history and I just love the way they look in their different colours, materials and sizes.
I won’t pass on a beautiful razor just because it’s missing it’s box, but I will surely hunt for its box to make it complete.

I thought it was just me! Four of my favourite razors are without the original box and it just upsets me when I go to use them.
-
I love having the original box! Unfortunately very few of my razors have their boxes....
-
I will admit, I also, keep all my original boxes.

Count me in too! I don't know why?but I like them and I want to have the right box.

Likewise here. Also not a deal breaker for me but it definitely sweetens the opt if a razor has the correct box and I will buy the correct box separately if I have to for the ones I love. It just makes it more... "complete" I guess would be the best word. I think it's like having the owner's manual for a classic car. My heirloom razor from my Dad was in a wrong box and I hunted.till I found it.

Well guys, I must be weird. Boxes don't mean too much to me. If I find a nice razor, I buy it to use it. Besides, I make my own custom boxes for my razors that come without a box.
However, I do understand the concept and history and what it means to people who collect razors. I just don't share that same passion for the original box. No matter what, it's all good!

Not really into razor boxes but a bonus if they have them. If I were collecting in the truest sense of the word meaning only NOS vintage razors then it would have to have a mint box with all the other stuff it came with. Those would get salted away for future resale.

There is a small group on Eboy who are dedicated razor box collectors.

See that I don't get. The box without the razor seems like having.the owner's manual for a cool classic car you don't own.
