Razor Info Request
A few years ago I traded for a Wm. Greaves & Sons Frame Back. On the tang it reads 'Wm. Greaves & Sons, Sheaf Works, Sheffield". Great shaving razor, one of my favorites. I noticed from day one that there was some etching on the blade but couldn't make out what it said due to being worn off from cleaning the blade by a previous owner as can be seen from pic.
There is mainly what looks to be a flowery design on the entire blade. Toward the heel I can barely make out 'Patent Frame Back Razor' and toward the toe I can barely make out 'Original' but under that is very hard to make out but I believe it says 'Unequaled' but it is very light and hard to read.
If anyone here has a similar razor with etching that is readable any info as to what the etching reads would be greatly appreciated.

If you have photo editing software, you can try enhancing the contrast, selecting the best RGB channel and converting to B&W then messing with the contrast, curves, sharpening, etc. Long shot but it’s occasionally worked for me before. Be glad to try for you if you want yo send me a high res image.

Sometimes chalk can help bring the etching up.
Also a computer scanner can get a lot more detail.

Guess I'll give the chalk a try, not getting much info so far about the razor as apparently there aren't that many around.

I found this one google. Not the best picture but still more visible than yours. I believe it's the same etching but i'm not sure.

Etching reads "The Unequalled & Justly Famed Patent Frame Back Razor"

Thanks for the response and info.
Close but no cigar. Other than the etching they look exactly like the same razor. The differences from what I can see: on mine the 'Unequalled' is near the toe, yours is in middle near spine. Above the 'Unequalled' on mine it says 'Original' just to mention a few. At least I know there is someone else with one of these and I would consider them rare.
I hope yours shaves as good as mine...........
