    Default Razor identification

Hi I recently purchased this razor for my hubby from a second hand store and was hoping someone might be able to help me with identification as the markings are pretty damaged? Just curious as to brand and what the handle may be made of? Thank you!

Looks to be Carnos Razor Factory, made in Solingen, Germany
Don't know anything about them. Googling brought up other examples and more questions, but no answers.

Really hard to tell from that picture for the scales (the "handle").
It almost looks like horn, with how it looks dried out and fading to brown near the pivot end...but considering the condition it's in, that could just add likely be grime and rust on celluloid.
    Are those iron pins?

Could be hrd leather too for the scales. But in the pics it really not clear at all what it is. If its horn then if you stick a hot pin into it in a spot that isnt seen much it will brun and smell of burning hair. Rubber was used too for scales and that would smell of rubber if rubber hard.

The razor doesnt look to be in very good shape. I hope he plans on joining us and tried to clean it up a bit to see if its worth spending time to hone it and shave with it.

    BTW, Welcome to SRP!
    It's just Sharpening, right?

Looks like 4 spots of corrosion in the bevel. The toe looks funky but that may be a shadow.

This blade will take some serious effort and luck to restore.

It all depends on the depth of corrosion on the bevel.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
