Feather Question...I'm confused...
Ok, you Feather experts, I have a question....
I see there are two grades of 'Feather razors' that are $100 difference in cost. The high end is stainless steel, the low end is brass covered with chromium.
Now, other than the name-grade, metal and cost...what's the difference, or the advantage of one over the other?
I was thinking that if one was to leave this style razor in the bathroom that the brass/chromium one would be least likely to rust/tarnish...and would be worth more.
I don't get it.....

Not much difference between the two..
There is a slight difference in the finish of the metal components. The SS is more corrosion resistant and should maintain its appearance longer, although the difference would not be significant over the course of many years of regular use. For professional use I think that the low end brass head/polymer handle model is actually preferred due to its ability to survive repeated autoclaving and dipping in sterilization liquids.
So, the brass version probably makes better sense financially. Having said that, I will admit that I am thinking about buying a new "high end" Feather even though I already have a brass/polymer one.
