Greetings from Estonia
This is my granfather’s or even his father's razor. Grandfather was born 1888. Would love to know more about it please. Can somebody help with the year and model? The upper edge is not straight , as you see on the picture.

Welcome to the forum. All I can tell you about the razor is its pretty. But others here can probably narrow it down more. If you haven't found it already, strazors.com has a good library of information on old manufscturers.
welcome.
Do an advanced search for john barber and there are plenty of threads
Perhaps this link will be of some help:

You can read detailed description in Neil's post here.
Welcome to SRP. Nice heirloom. I hope you hang around and participate moreSo if I read Neil's post right it's not possible that that razor could be later than 1871. Ti me it looks older. I like the scalloped spine.
Many thanks to everyone for the answers. I have read a lot about the history of John Barber razors and spent hours searching the internet. But I have not found any pictures of such a model with a sharp tip and a scalloped spine. That's why I wrote this post. it is clear that it was made before 1870, but is it already 1820-30? And does anyone else have such a model like this one?
