Geneva Cutlery, Oddity.
Hey guys. I got a Geneva Cutlery, Pyramid brand, with a double S stamp over the pyramid.

I also noticed that the spine is curved in the wrong direction.

I've only seen straight, and smiling razors. So what gives..? A second, that made its way through manufacturing, or has anyone seen others like this one.
Honed up just fine, with a rolling X stroke.

That's an oldie. 'Sterling Steel' from Sheffield recruits.
I think it's my favorite Geneva. Must be. I clothed mine in ivory...

Thanks, Tom.
Mines nowhere near sterling. I'll keep it the faux ivory, it came in. A lot of nice stuff came outta that valley. :bow
Is the spine on yours, curved like this one. I noticed yours is shouldered, also. Different grind, suppose. Blades full of grind marks, on mine.

Man, that's nice. Likely an American version of the Sheffield 'silver steel'.
Here go...A round-pointed one..

Did they back in the day sell seconds?
One of my most used kitchen knifes is a second. Other than the pattern being possibly a little funky on one side being halfprice it was well worth it.

Mike, I am thinking since mine is 13/16 in total width that the double-stabilizer was used on the 6/8 razor and a single one for the 5/8 ones like yours and the round point pictured.
Yes, the top of my spine is curved. Tang angles down a bit different than most of these, I feel.
Anyhoo, clean it up and polish lightly. You will see that were you to polish a typical Geneva to death, it would not make the steel as white as that which is in these. Sure wish that round point was mine! ;)
These remind me of an old advert which was posted in the American Knife thread.
