Everything I store, I wrap in VCI paper. It emits a coating in gas for that provides protection. So far it has not had any negative effects on any of my scales. I also have emitters in my safe, display case, and gun cabinets. It’s also available in shelf/drawer liner material for toolboxes and the like. It’s suppose to last for five years.
I bought a stack of vci paper. 6 x 6 pieces and was using it to wrap and mail razors. I figued it was an easy way to give some protection from whatever the post was going to put it thru.
I have two Kamisori razors. I enjoy using them. Hone one up and give it a try, Randy.
Everyone should have at least one kamisori in their shave den.
Yasuki steel kamisori are made with two types of steel:
Shirogami White Steel and Aogami Blue Steel. Your Yasuki steel with the flowers on the handle is a Zubora, if you can get a close up of the kanji on the other Yasuki steel kami I may be able to identify it for you.
Are kamasori's honed the same way as a straight razor? Don't have one of those things!
I use my phone for pics, then use the trim and crop option, for closer pics.

Love those scales, Mike!
And there is the enabler who got me my first kamisori. Oz! :)
I take pics with my phone then put them on my computer and use the crop and other options that came with the computer. Its more work than I probably need to do bit it works for me.
