American Razors from around the Civil War Period

Regards All enthusiasts,
Please have a look at these 2 razors , That were made just after the civil war for export to the USA.I dont have any documentation for this but thats how they were presented to me when I bought them.I will put some period correct scales on the scaleless one They are Geo Wolsterholm ,and Wade and Butcher

That is really nice I especially like the scales ,aren't they nice shavers though. I found that as I got older and my hands got shaky these heavier razors were easier for me to control ,lot less nicks

Tell me, are the W&B with the eagle, etched or roll engraved?

Great condition on both of those blades.

Thanks, that is what I have read in the past. That makes me wonder how much pressure was used to make the imprint.
I suspect that it was only used on old, "wedge" ground razors. The full and half hollows might be too thin to withstand the pressure.

That Eagle design is a classic. :)
