Does anybody know where to purchase new C-mon razors? I have a C-mon cadillac razor and like it very much. I would be interested to see if Cmon makes other razors as well

the cadillac is the only razor available new (that i know of anyway)
they go up on eBay occasionally in pretty good condition and for relatively cheap...not sure why.
Here's a fairly nice looking vintage C-Mon: ebay link
Here's one in "pretty good condition". :)
I think there is a catalog in .pdf form in the help files here, on SRP.
I have the top of the line C-MON, model HF, and it shaves as good as it looks...

You can also pick them up here:

But I believe they might be 'dovo contract' razors

The old C-Mon razors were sold by JP Michaels in New York and they are long out of business. The new ones are in no way related to the old ones other than the name. Just like the Hen and Rooster razors being sold now. They also are in no way related to the original hen and Rooster co that went out of business in the 1970s.
What about the company "Fightin' Rooster"? Are they and "Hen and Rooster" associated, or is it just a rooster coincidence?

I didn't know there were earlier C-Mons made in the U.S. If they are like other U.S made razors I would say they are very high quality razors. U.S made razors are highly underrated.
Nope the fighting rooster has nothing to do with the original Hen and Rooster Co. When the original started to go under in the early 1970s A.G Russell bought the company and used them to make knives for his store. In the late 70s they folded and the company and all its machining was auctioned off. Klass of kissing cranes bought the name and made razors and knives under the brand for several years until he went under and more recently Frost Cutlery bought the Hen and Rooster name and sells knives and razors under it. The knives are made by Boker and the razors by Dovo. The original company made some of the best quality knives ever produced by the German's. If you ever come across some original Hen and Rooster razors buy them because they are priceless. I happen to know of a source but I ain't telling.
By its tang markings, I presume this one was made in the US . . .

Nice razor Steve, I have the same one...tis' a fine shaver :)
The J.P Michaels ones are labeled Brooklyn, N.Y but they are made in Germany and I suspect that yours is also. I think sometime between WWl and WWll they passed the law saying you had to label the country of origin on all imports before that they didn't need to say anything.
