It seems difficult to determine value on fine things such as these as in short order they have disappeared from the market.
I suppose some are of low numbers to begin with. Some have been 'restored' to death or broken.
Phrank and Cheetah have the remainder!

I have a small percentage of my pile that I would say are truly special yet most all are not seen in nice condition any more.
I reckon my heirs will pack it all off to an auction house someday. Big deal.
I estimate all were paid for by sales of others and I enjoy them immensely and enjoy learning about them. It is and has been a fun hobby for me.
I especially enjoy guys sharing ones like this which would be impossible to find, let alone afford.
The fact that they exist is most interesting and entertaining to me.

Yeah, a well made forgery does have a certain appeal.

Was it a forgery or did the apprentice who stamped it get the letters mixed up? lol

I've seen a pic of that one and yup, it really exists.

In another thread, I think Void told me that he believes the one I have is the Ottoman in the SRP database IIRC.

That one will go up first I think. I asked the AI Bot in the Brave Browser about the history of W&B Ottoman and got some fascinating answers, "the rarest straight razor in the world", and it valued it from $1500 up to $4,500.....I'll probably be towards the bottom lol.

Long weekend here and almost through and sorted everything....one more for the road.

What an awesome thread. I came back on today to look at all of my posts of my straight razors to convince myself that I have "everything that interests me already" and then of course Phrank busts out some sweet one's that I've never seen before....lol

But thanks to everyone who's weighed in so far. So many kind words.

    1) I'm definitely moving in with Tom as well. If Phrank is going, I'm going....lol.

    2) Tom, love all of the displays. That is a great setup that you have.

    3) All of my razors are in 2 "manageable" cardboard boxes so I think I'm good on that front.

    4) Glad to have the misspelled W&B Otto. I was just rereading that post before chiming in here. With Phrank's AI chart I wonder if mine would be on the higher end because of the misspelling....lol. Maybe I'll ask chatgpt.

Yes it's a great hobby. Glad to have scored so many great pieces of history in the relatively short time that I've been collecting. And so glad to be a part of this wonderful group.

If you want to further the hobby, start posting the exotics in SOTD.

Uh...Ummmmm that would mean Cheetah would have to lay that steel to his Hollywood face.

Do me a favor though Cheetah. If you do shave with one, post a video.
