Default Looking for Dubl Duck Special Wedge Info

Hi there, first post! long time lurker, but decided to sign up to try and get some information from the forum. look forward to sticking around and contributing from now on!

i picked this up recently and have not had much luck getting information. the only thing i can gather so far is that it was made before they came out with the satin wedge. other than that, nothing. looking to get info on when it was made, how rare, etc. I have posted on another forum with no results, so hoping SRP has the members with the expertise to know about it.

here are a few pictures. Dubl Duck Special Wedge:

Welcome to SRP. I can't give any specific info on that stamping but I can tell you to check out two threads in the 'razor clubs' forum that may be entertaining if not informative. "Those Daffy Ducks" and "Those Dubious Ducks". If thebigspendur or manah see this thread they may be able to tell you something too. TBS is a duck aficionado and manah is a razor historian par excellence.

They made several wedges though none are true wedges. The Special is smaller and lighter than the others. Mine is a Bresduck. Yours is a Bresnick which is older. I would guess pre WWll early 1930s maybe late 1920s but Manah would know dates better. Either way it's a great shaver made per the request of Barbers.
