    Default Zensho kamisori

Hey guys - I'm wondering if any of you have tried this kamisori and would recommend it? I haven't tried a kamisori myself, but this seems like an economical option to start. Thx

I did "read" (Google translate) about them on some Japanese blogs, they didn't consider them up to par but then they are comparing them to some old really good kamisoris.
    Anyone got one?

Well if you say so, care to elaborate, what steel and how are they compared to other kamisoris?

Sorry, no links saved, tried to find it but no luck, I was searching for 大谷山 (Otaniyama) and then clicked around, there is no structure in their blogging.

Edit: Look around here, I think you can find some blogs here; https://www.google.se/search?q=%E6%9...PYL8GL4AS1yoEI

I find them fairly comparable to vintage razor as far as edge. IMO the grind job is less consistent, wavy , womething I can't remember seeing any vintage kamisori that I have honed so far.
Steel that is mostly used is yellow, sometimes you can find white 2. Those are made in Miki City by several makers, therefore no name stamps.

Looks like there's more and more of new kamisoris coming.
That's fun, they were a dying breed, hopefully they get up to what they once was in terms of steel and forging, in some ways beyond with super steels and modern tools.

JNS has the Zensho in two versions:
    zensho-black-finish-kamisori-50mm
    zensho-kamisori-50mm

I was thinking of getting one myself.

    Cheers.

Yes - I've had my eye on one for a while, and they used to be on sale for quite a while, and are currently discounted again - but just for a few more hours.
