Bottom one is a W&B Special.
Can anyone tell me about the rodgers? I liked the blade shape and guessed it was either pretty old or a random piece of crap. The W&B was a no brainer. Those scales aren't ivory, are they? They're both in great shape, I just plan to maas them.
Did I do OK for $20?
There was one for $25. Brand was something Noonan, "Blue Demon" but 25 was a little much for me.
Joseph Rodgers are some of the best Sheffield blades out there as far as I am concerned! I would guess the age on that one to be mid 1800's, but it looks like it was originally a much larger razer...Maybe a regrind?
i'ld place that rogers closer to 1820-1830 based on the tail design... while they are not all over the place like wb they are imho much better razors.
Noonan... in good shape $25 is not too bad.. they imported a lot of geman steel and also were involvled with Christenson, Cremo, Domino razors to name just a few.
