30 razors...
Hello all,
In a week or so there will be a sale that has 30+ vintage razors plus other barbershop stuff. Here is a pic that was sent to me.

Now my question is... what would you guys pay for these razors? I do not know the asking price yet and I can pick and choose, I do not have to buy them all. But...I have a number in my head for the 31 razors shown. Lets see what the rest of you think. I will post my number after a day or two.
BTW, all the boxes have razors in them.

Going by past auctions with bulk (10+) razors and only 1 photo I would not be surprised if it fetches upto $200.
I am not one to take a risk without seeing more pics and asking questions so I wouldn't/won't be bidding.

A conservative estimate based on 10.00 - 12.00 a razor and the other items, I would say around $400 to $450. Of course, I may be far off but there are some nice razors there.

Probably about $300 unless there was something really special, but I'm not in aquisition mode.

The scales look nice..how's the blades?
I wouldn't bid high unless I saw the blades. I figure that pic will fetch ~ $300

I don't think Randy is talking about an upcoming auction, I think he means the HE has the option of potentially buying all, some or none of the razors.
I'm going to say $200. IMO with a "lot" of razors, unless they can all be inspected closely, I'd figure I might overpay on some and underpay on others. Maybe I'd get lucky and underpay by a lot of a few, but to me, that's a potential benefit for the buyer. Maybe that's a low figure......but I'd rather offer low.

It is a sale, not an auction. Thankfully I will be able to open and inspect each razor. From prior experience with razor lots I will estimate that 40%-60% are dogs. Once I bought a lot off Ebay, 40+ razors, and only 6 were any good!

Oh Lord ... I love the look of the little one with green scales
:) Ok it's the green scales thats attracting me to it but hey !!!!

I say pick and choose the ones that look good. Don't pay any more than about $15 per razor unless it's rare or in mint condition.

On that photo $150. More info- more accuracy. As you say - 50% could be rubbish but an individual one with a little work may be worth all that money. Close ups of blade and description of condition, to come back on, required.
