Curious about a Red Injun Straight
I ran across a used straight at an antique shop today and don't know anything about the brand. I was hoping someone could give me some information about the value of it.
Its a Boker Red injun. the blade is straight and pretty clean with no rust. it could use a bit of polishing. It looks like its been used with slight hone marks but not heavily by any means. the scales are black and solid and holds the blade good and tight. It does have the box which is in decent shape with the tree symbole on it. The Price was $85.
I'm a newbe and still have not purchased a straight yet, or any of the other items needed to begin shaving with a straight. so I'm wondering if this is a good razor to shave with and for the price.
Thanks for the input guys
I thank you all for the information. As a newbe it's difficule to know if your paying a fair price for a good straight. I didn't get a picture of itas I did not buy it and would not before I know what I'm getting into. He did say he would knock 10 bucks off but knowing that i can get a new Dovo for about the same price shave ready I wanted to find out from you folk if this was any good.
thanks.
