This weekend was the 100mi yard sale, so I decided to take a quick look. First place I stopped had a razor.
It's a "Challenge Cutlery Co." razor, black scales, and unfortunately, just now noticed that it's missing a small piece of the scale right at the hinge pin on one side. Little bits of surface rust, doesn't seem that it's anything major. Paid $5.
The second is something I haven't been able to locate on the forums here, and it's a yellow colored scale razor, with the word Panama on the scale and one side of the tang. The other side of the tang (forgive me if I use the wrong word for it) says "Gibson B.S. Co Duluth Germany". 0 rust, but it looks like there are some spots that someone might have hit it with some sandpaper previously. Paid $12.
Both seem nice, but I'm going to have to send them out to get honed, and gonna have to read on how to restore them a bit.
Pictures as soon as I run to the car to get the camera.
I think i've already started a new obsession without even shaving with one yet.....:w
Edit: Sorry, Just realized there is a show and tell further down, and it doesn't look like I can delete this post. Sorry!
