Olive oil and baking soda?
I've been using Ballistol (came with my LeGrelot from Rasurpur) as my razor protective layer. Seems to work just fine.
However it smells like a litterbox of a cat with digestive problems, and thus SWMBO has raised a bit of a fuss about the odor.
So, I had seen that some folks use olive oil as a protective oil. that sounds good to me, we have plenty of olive oil on hand in the house (SWMBO is of Greek descent), but I also have read that adding baking soda to water whilst honing will also help prevent corrosion.
So, would there be any detriment if I were to mix in some baking powder to the olive oil as a razor protection layer, or will there be issues with prolonged exposure to the baking soda?
