The Bismark is my best razor, I get consistent results and am very pleased with my investment.
I'm wondering what other Bismark users would consider to be the next best or better razor.
I know that some aren't fond of these, but if you like your Bismark let me know.

I also have a Bismark and I am very happy with it. However my first place razor is a Dorko. After the Bismark is a little known razor "Aevos" also very good:tu
OK, Rich is right the dorkos are great shavers, but i really like Boker and the C. Friedrich Ern razors, except the "crown and sword" models. but that is just a matter of taste. and for you wallet... most people do not realize how good the Ern razors are so they often are less expensive :D
I really like my Bismarck, but the Thiers-Issard 6/8 Societe Nouvelle is also in my rotation, and which one I prefer is just different from day to day.
I also have a Max Dorner - Bismarck that was my great-grandfather's but it's very worn and not in "shave shape".
I have a brand new 6/8 bismark with bone handle and silver plate realy good looking razor. I don't like the feel of the handle it is to square at the edges and i have struggled to get a realy smooth shave from it i've it a couple of times and it still does'nt feel as good as i my dovo micarta which glides . Havin said that i have spoke to invisable edge and he says they are hard to hone as the steel is hard and told me to recut the bevel so i did starting of at the 1k and giving it a good going over 4k 8k bbw and coticule. tested yesterday and boy what a differance no more biting and slight niping in the tougher areas and felt smoothernow i no the bevel needed some work the razor does shave as well as it looks and realy like it 6/8 is my favourite size. i have 15 razors i'd say my favourite is my john clark shefield 6/8.
i only have one razor right now its a red bismarck. i ordered it honed by lynn as i am a newbie to straight shaving but i love the shave it gives im sure there are a lot better razors out there but i am a fan of the bismarck.
I am a new ownee of a new bismark Red 6/8 rp, I took the prehoned option, I have shaved twice with this razor, BBS, very nice razor, i usually dont by "New" razors, like to by vintage and hone them myself, the edge you can get is many times determined by the shape of the razor when you get them,
that being said , my favorites are my DD Dwarf sp, and exeptional shaver, DD #1 sp aslo a great shaver, any number of my Henkels-Im a sucker for Henkels, also Wolstenholms are great shavers if you can get one in good shape they are real "vintage or older razors", ive also got a W&B rp in great shape and a real shaver, my only Stainless Steel is a C-Mon Spike point that ive come to really like lately,
to tell you the truth there are a number of great shavers you just have to start out with a blade in decent shape and hone em up.
You cant go wrong with a Henkles
