Default Birch & Cubbedge, rebranded Boker?

My wife and I were checking out an antique mall that has recently reopened and I found this little beauty.

I found several other nice razors that I'm going to have to go back for but I couldn't turn this one down since it's labeled the city I live in, Macon, GA. I also saw what looks like the Boker logo on the scales.

It also came with the matching coffin.

I've searched around and the best thing I can find is that Birch & Cubbedge was a hardware store in town at least around 1907. I don't know how long before or after that it was open but I do want to find out. It's really neat to find a razor with a nearby historical connection. Also, I don't think it was a bad deal for $20.

My question to the experts here is do you think it's a Boker that was rebranded for this hardware store or do you think someone just put some Boker scales on it?

when you look at the razor closed from the top, does the blade come within an 1/8" or less of the wedge? Or is it further away?

Interesting. That looks just like a Boker Red Injun box as well. At first I thought maybe the blade was repinned in Boker scales, but the box is the same color, shape, finish, style, etc.

While I was cleaning up the monkey tail on this razor I found a tiny little tree logo stamped on one side, so I guess it is a Boker. I'll post a picture tomorrow when I can get some good light.

Here's a pic of the logo on the tang.
