Here's a razor I just finished over the weekend. It's a 6/8 quarter hollow with a snakeskin spine and longtail brass tang. Outfitted with carbon fiber scales, this came out looking quite elegant, I thought.

Very Nice! interesting with the carbon fiber, haven't seen that before....
Great looking razor!!!!! Someone is going to be VERY happy with it...I know I would be.
Very nice, Robert. The brass tang, is that essentially a sleeve over a steel tang? When I saw the picture I stopped short because just within the last few days I was wondering about metals other than steel being used for tang material and how such a fusion could take place.

I had to make a male/female connection with the brass, which I then pinned, which resulted in a very solid and sturdy connection with a feel as though it's all one piece.
Thanks Robert; awesome work.

I'm a great fan of your razors. They are so varied in design.
I'm currently in the queue & can't wait till my turn!
Best thing about that razor--It's MINE! Thanks Robert!:tu:roflmao
You have great taste, Lt. I haven't been able to get that razor out of my mind all day. That tang is sublime.

it does look great, I like that tang. I don't have experience enough but am curious, other than looking like it would be more comfortable for large hands, does it actually feel better and work out better? I find that the smaller, upswept tangs sometimes feel like they are either not real secure in my hand or the end/edges feel like they're getting me.
