A dip in the blade
ok im going to try and explain as good and as clear as I can be. I noticed a dip on the spine of the razor and i know that that is normal and i also noticed a dip in the blade going opposite of the dip on top. Does that makes sense? )( I put the blade on a flat surface and noticed a small dip going upward like this ----> ( but its micro. I noticed when i was stroping the blade that part was not going so sharp as the others sections. What now? is this going to require major work for the blade or is it just a vintage razor now. I'm assuming the person that had it before was probably not honning right so it probably damaged the blade a bit.

Are you saying the blade smiles, both edge and spine equally. If so, its a smiling blade, all the better and it does need to be honed differently than the usual straight edged razor. If the edge is a frown it needs to be fixed.

no it does not have the smile equally and the dip is opposite. shouldnt the smile go hand in hand if it was a smile. im confused

I think im looking for perfect and its just needs be honed. when I put the blade on a flat surface a a very small amount of light leaking through. Maybe im being to picky, Im a newbee sorry

Its a frown, it can be fixed, will take a lot of honing.
